The filament-like blue and purple squiggly lines alternate over, under, and through each other. The inspiration for this piece came from observing the many random, no rhyme-or-reason, tar-filled cracks in the asphalt on the old, worn, torn City Creek Canyon road I frequently walk. To take an extra ‘trip’ for your head, stare at the center of the painting and see what happens while using your peripheral vision; then stare at a white wall for a trippy ‘after-image’!” ~Darin Jones
BIO: Darin Jones is a unique and diverse artist--ranging in styles from photo-realism to abstracts and mediums from graphite to acrylic--while creating and applying his art to canvas, textiles, furniture, home décor, messenger bags, mugs, and more. Jones's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and festivals in New York, Nevada, and Utah, and collected privately throughout the United States and internationally.
