“The black lines are the letters of METROPOLITAN—overlapping, intersecting, and connecting—to create the structural design for the painting. In paying homage to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York—spanning millennia of art and periods, I chose a more exotic color palette—from the Egyptian sands of yellow ochre to orange, olive and lime greens, violets, and rusty reds.” ~Darin Jones

BIO: Darin Jones is a unique and diverse artist--ranging in styles from photo-realism to abstracts and mediums from graphite to acrylic--while creating and applying his art to canvas, textiles, furniture, home décor, messenger bags, mugs, and more. ​ Jones's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and festivals in New York, Nevada, and Utah, and collected privately throughout the United States and internationally. Mr. Jones has been featured on Utah’s Channel 4 News and published in various periodicals in Las Vegas and Utah. Darin Jones was born in Murray, Utah, 1972.
