“The black lines are the letters of LIBERTY—overlapping, intersecting, and connecting—to create the structural design for the painting. With reference to the Statue of Liberty, I chose to represent her with a mix of iridescent copper, pale blue-green, and teal to symbolize the oxidation process she’s been through over many years.” ~Darin Jones
About Darin Jones
BIO: Darin Jones is a unique and diverse artist--ranging in styles from photo-realism to abstracts and mediums from graphite to acrylic--while creating and applying his art to canvas, textiles, furniture, home décor, messenger bags, mugs, and more. Jones's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and festivals in New York, Nevada, and Utah, and collected privately throughout the United States and internationally.
