“KALEIDOSCOPE is the first of my ‘swirl’ paintings—inspired by a photograph I took looking down at a bunch of coiled-up umbrellas—while meandering happily solo in Little Italy, NYC. The swirls contain colors which create vibrating and flickering effects—some winding clockwise—while others, counter-clockwise. The blue background is a calming color choice for ‘peering through’ the subsequent layers of vibrant, swirling colors.” ~Darin Jones

BIO: Darin Jones is a unique and diverse artist--ranging in styles from photo-realism to abstracts and mediums from graphite to acrylic--while creating and applying his art to canvas, textiles, furniture, home décor, messenger bags, mugs, and more. ​ Jones's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and festivals in New York, Nevada, and Utah, and collected privately throughout the United States and internationally. Mr. Jones has been featured on Utah’s Channel 4 News and published in various periodicals in Las Vegas and Utah. Darin Jones was born in Murray, Utah, 1972.
